This one is better.

And you all thought you could get rid of me. HA! *cling*

Before anybody points it out, most of you probably noticed my new avatar. I finally got around to putting that up along with posting a few deviations that are actually pretty old. Call it housekeeping. Call me Ishmael.

A couple weeks ago, Alex, Kirstie, and I went to the International Folk Dance at CLC (also featuring the international students from Finland. Some of the Brazilians came as well, but they weren't teaching any dances.). It was amazingly fun, and yes, for all of you out there wondering, I danced. Kirstie had to come late (swim meet), and while Alex left to go get her, I had to pair up with a big, middle-aged guy. It wouldn't have been so weird if one of the moves hadn't involve pretending to snort tobacco. o.o
Yeah, you heard me. O.O
There was this person with a camera (hopefully, not from the Dispatch) who kept following us and snapping photos from about a distace of three feet. Also, everyone kept saying that I had really cold hands, and I could pretty much tell that they were cold because everybody else, to me, had hot hands. Oh, well, I had a really great time.
Now, not only can I Turkey Trot (about the only dance move beyond the "Q-Tip" (from the movie "Hitch") that I knew previously), I can also do the Chestnut Tree.
Some of you really don't know what you missed. *glares at Akina*

Okay, some of you probably already heard about this, but in my Intro to Humanities class last Thursday, we got to watch some old silent films. When we watched them, though, they had music. A couple of them were so great that I feel the need to post them. YOU MUST WATCH THEM! They're short, too, so it's not like you're watching an entire movie.
The first one (dat-da-da-DAAA) is a Charlie Chaplin film called "The Adventurer." It's about an escaped convict, and it's tremendously entertaining. I apologize for the quality; it's not quite as clear on YouTube. I recommend, also, that you watch it with somebody; double the fun. Also, because you will not be able to see it as well, I will pre-warn you that Chaplin is wearing a very short bathing suit in one scene (otherwise, you may think he's not wearing any pants at all).

I got it in HQ for y'all, so you can see it better. Enjoy!
The second one is "A Trip to the Moon," in which the director decided to play around with old-fashoned graphics. The backgrounds are painted, and smoke in the background is produced by poking a hole in the backdrop and spewing steam through it. I must include this, if only for us to glimpse the future of our beloved Spaghetti Rocket. This will be us, I swear. And you were probably expecting Vulcans, I'll bet. The narrator has a strange accent, but you'll eventually get used to it and be able to decipher his language by what is happening in the film.
Nevermind, I don't think this one has the narrator, but it does have some funky background music.
